In the rare event that the UC-200 expires early or doesn't work properly within the full 5-year lifespan, CuZn will always be there to make it right. Please note that the UC-200 is designed for use with municipal water only and should not be used with private well water.

The UC-200 is specially designed to reduce various contaminants, such as chlorine, disinfection by-products, herbicides, pesticides, sediment, heavy metals (lead, mercury, chromium VI, cadmium), bad taste, odors, and more.

Installing the UC-200 is stress-free and easy. It connects directly to your kitchen sink's cold-water line, eliminating the need for drilling holes in your countertop. If you encounter non-standard plumbing connections or prefer an alternative installation method, such as connecting it to a separate filtered water dispenser faucet or installing it in the basement, CuZn provides alternative install kits at no extra cost.

With a diameter of 4.5" and a height of 15.5", the UC-200 is designed to be installed vertically on its base. Its tried and true filtration technology combines KDF-55 Filter Media, Coconut Shell Carbon, and Micro Sediment Membrane technologies that have stood the test of time. Please note that the UC-200 does not reduce TDS or meter readings; if TDS removal is desired, we recommend our CuZn Reverse Osmosis filter.

To ensure optimal performance, test the UC-200 with DPD One chlorine test strips and replace it when chlorine breakthrough is detected in the filtered water. We recommend using sensitive chlorine test strips with a minimum detection level of 0.25ppm for the earliest possible detection.

The UC-200's quality hardware and low maintenance design make it a durable and long-lasting appliance. Simply replace the entire UC-200 every 5 years with a fresh one. This eliminates the unnecessary waste and expense associated with filters that require frequent cartridge replacements.

With your purchase, you'll receive a 36" long braided stainless hose and brass inlet and outlet fittings. We back the UC-200's long-lasting performance with a comprehensive 5-year prorated warranty. In the unlikely event of early expiration, CuZn will provide warranty replacement.

Please note that the UC-200 is for municipal water only and does not soften water or resolve issues caused by excessively hard water, such as lime scale mineral deposits on tea kettles.

Installing the UC-200 is simple, as it is designed for direct connection to your kitchen sink's cold water line. No need to drill through the countertop or use an extra filter dispenser faucet. If you have any non-standard plumbing connection issues or need assistance with the installation, CuZn's technical support is available to diagnose and provide any additional adapters needed.

The UC-200 utilizes a 3-stage filtration process, including micro sediment membranes, KDF-55, and coconut shell carbon. Please note that it does not reduce TDS or meter readings. If TDS or PPM removal is desired, a reverse osmosis filter system is required. The UC-200 is designed to purify water without reducing the mineral content, so both the filtered and unfiltered water will show the same TDS or PPM readings.

Unlike carbon-only filters, the UC-200 is bacteriostatic and resistant to mold or bacteria growth. To confirm if the filter is still working, test the filtered water using DPD#1 chlorine test strips. If chlorine is detected, it's time to replace the UC-200. We recommend using sensitive test strips that can detect chlorine levels as low as 0.25 or 0.5ppm for the earliest possible detection.
