The Filtrete Allergen Defense Air Filter is available in various sizes, including 4-inch, 4-inch slim fit, and 5-inch thick options, to accommodate different HVAC systems. The higher the MPR, the more microparticles the filter will capture from the air passing through it.
To ensure optimal performance of your heating, cooling, or HVAC system, it's recommended to change the home air filter at least every 90 days for 1-inch filters, and at least every 12 months for 4-inch and 5-inch filters. A dirty filter can slow down air flow and cause the system to work harder, ultimately wasting energy.
To make the filter change process more convenient, Filtrete offers a smart app that allows you to create a change countdown.
